Intercultural/European objectives
11. promotion of cultural diversity and intercultural dialog
12. promotion of the European values dialog: Development of shared values such as freedom (of art and personal self-efficacy), tolerance (specifically: towards political/cultural attitudes and preferences as well as the artistic expression of other participants)
13. European competence as a creative competence: knowledge about the partner countries in the participants‘ field of interest, in particular also about the living conditions of difference and diversity, should not be perceived as threatening, but as social and aesthetic enrichment, as „beautiful“ and as essential elements of European culture and identity.
-Promoting solidarity: supporting Belarusian, Russian and Ukrainian youth in their uprising/defensive struggle against the criminal regime of Putin and Lukashenko and building a democratic European community – possibly a long-term, sustainable goal
…because there is interest among socially committed young people/students in charitable and humanitarian projects aimed at direct contact, personal meetings and cooperation with those affected.
Direct quotes from interviews at an earlier „on the move V“ meeting in Braslav/Belarus for the benefit of a home for disadvantaged children:
– finally doing art projects without a professor looking over my shoulder
-getting to know students from Western Europe and learning from them how freely they can work at their art academy and testing ourselves to see how freely we can work with them
– Project as a unit, all steps – design, planning, model making, realization, building in the original and then testing by the users, children of the home…in two weeks, I can’t do that in my studies, here it works!
